Join us for a 3-week (June 12-30, 2017) science immersion at Kansas State University! The primary goal of our institute is to help you gain experience teaching “science as inquiry.” Work with peers to develop a science unit around soybean that addresses Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and uses the scientific method. More importantly, learn how to teach “systems thinking” using a soybean seed.
Stipend of $1600 (+lodging for out-of-town teachers), up to $500 in classroom supplies (to include iPod Touch or comparable device, plant stand, grow lights, soil, books, & classroom experiments), and becoming a better science teacher!
Apply ONLINE today! (Applications due April 10, 2017)
For any questions about the institute, please contact Dr. Brian McCornack (K-State), firstname.lastname@example.org (785.532.4729).
